It’s Now or Never
The Revelation, what comes to mind when you hear that word, Revelation?
For me, for far longer than I care to admit, it was fireballs falling from the sky, people running around screaming and the world coming to a complete end. Right after half the population just up and vanished. Sounds like the next New York Best-selling novel. I might have to sit down and write this book! Yes, I might be sitting here snickering to myself at this silly thought, but am I that far off?
Let’s talk facts. Revelation is a book of hope. 1:3 “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophesy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” Jesus will return to rescue His people and settle accounts of all who defy him.
Any day now.
We study the bible to get closer to God. We study His mighty word to help us through our days. We share the word with friends, family, co-workers and even strangers because we “know”, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit is the only way. Yet sometimes, we stop and wonder why we do not understand, but, as was shared on Sunday, “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog-It’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”
God gives us the exact understanding we need; in the exact moment we need it. As a Christian one thing should be crystal clear to all. We must live like today is the day God gave us, every day. And when you think of the Revelation, falling fireballs and screaming people running around, “the end is near” this should force you to examine your priorities. Just as God intended from Genesis to Revelation.
