Weekday Devotionals

Life's journey is like a well maintained garden, and spiritual growth is a key
ingredient to its multiple blooms. It's not just about showing up on Sundays, but
about making a conscious effort every day to strengthen your relationship with
God.

In 2 Peter 3:18, it says, "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ." This verse emphasizes the need for continuous growth in
our understanding of God's grace and love. It's a reminder that spiritual growth is
an ongoing process, not a one-time event.

I have a small jungle on my back porch, and a small botanical garden on my front
porch. Because my backport is screened in, I'm protected from the crazy Florida
bugs, and I have a nice fan overhead to use during the 9,ooo degree Florida
summers. I water, trim, rotate and add fresh dirt to the plants on my back porch
way more than on the front. Can you guess which plants are thriving and which
are hanging on by a thread?  Plants, no matter where they are planted need
consistent care.

Similarly, our spiritual lives require regular nourishment and maintenance. This
can be through prayer, meditation, studying the Bible, or engaging in meaningful
conversations with fellow believers. It's about living out your faith in your daily
interactions, not just reserving it for a specific time or place, or waiting until you
are hanging on by a thread.

I'm encouraging you to integrate spiritual practices into your daily lives.
Attend church services, yes, but also explore ways to bring spirituality into your
home and relationships outside of home and church.

Remember, it's the small, consistent efforts that lead to significant spiritual
growth. Be patient with yourself and those around your as they too embark on
this journey.

Wishing you a Blessed journey ahead.
Sam Mosca
