Praying the Scriptures - The Lord's Prayer - Matthew 6: 9-13

Verse: Our Father in heaven…

Prayer:  You are our source, our confidant and ever constant companion. You are the breath in our lungs, our everything.”

Verse:  …Hallowed be Your name

Prayer:  You are the God who is above all things.  The mighty one who is sovereignly in control of every detail in all creation.  You are the one true God, the all in all.”

Verse:   Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Prayer:   We rebuke division and hatred among people. We curse sickness and disease in all of its forms. We proclaim peace on earth, good will towards all.

Verse:    Give us this day our daily bread.

Prayer:  Fill me, sustain me and guide me by your word. I trust you to be my source and  meet my needs. but don’t give me so much that I forget you or grow “Self-sufficient”.

Verse:   And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Prayer:    Lord, forgive me of my ongoing struggles with my brokenness. And now, I release and forgive _______ of their brokenness and sin against me.”

Verse:   Lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

Prayer:  I am not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. So, I take captive my every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Verse:  For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Prayer:   Glorious and eternal Lord of All, I give you praise. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord, Ruler of Heaven and earth. Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever, Amen!
