Verse: For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.    Colossians 1:16

Thought: This verse expresses that Jesus created all things, but it also expresses that it was all created for His purpose.  The leader. This makes Jesus the head honcho.

This past Sunday we dove into what this means for us, the body. Pastor Eric nailed it, the body can never work without the head. The more we grow in Christ the more Christ can work thru us.
I see this often in church, at work, thru small groups I’ve joined & lead and in simple moments like at the grocery store.

I see this most when people are helping people.
When we offer kindness to someone who was less than kind to us.
When we show up at 6am to set up a church that offers hope to the lost and growth to the found.
When we open our homes and donate our time to provide support to those who need it.
When our children and youth can look to us and see the right way is the Jesus way.

1 Corinthians 12:27 says; You are the body of the Anointed One, and each of you is a unique and vital part of it.

When we look back at who we were and where Christ has brought us. That is Jesus showing us that we are a unique and vital part of His plan and what is possible, for all. Now is our time to rise up and meet those needs.

If not now, when?

My daily prayer is Dear Jesus help me get all the way out of my way. I want my life to look more like your life. I want to be your hands & feet.   Jesus, I pray this prayer over all my friends. All my brothers & Sisters in Christ. Let them see who you have designed them to be. The special and unique gifts you have given them and let them get all the way out of their way to do your work.

In your name we pray -Amen
