Zephaniah 3:17 For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

I love how definite and authoritative this verse is.  It provides  us a rich list of statements to rejoice over as we sabbath. - Jesus lives among us! He is our mighty Savior! He delights in us! The Hebrew word Shabbat means “to stop,” but it can also mean “to delight.” As we Sabbath, we delight in the Lord—and astonishingly, He delights in us.
