Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Jesus doesn’t forcibly take our cares; He receives them when we surrender them. That surrender is an intentional act of our will. In our home, when we blow out the Sabbath candles and the smoke rises, we say, “There go our worries and cares.” It’s a simple, tangible way to remind ourselves to hand the weights of life over to His capable hands.
